વહાણવટી સિકોતર માતાજીનું મંદિર ખંભાતના અખાતમાં રાલજ ગામમાં આવેલું છે. એક વખતની વાત છે જ્યારે જગડું શાહ કરીને એક વાણિયો શેઠ દેશ – વિદેશમાં વેપાર કરવા પોતાના વહાણ દ્વારા અવર – જવર કરતો હતો. એક વખત ભારે દરિયાઈ તોફાનમાં વહાણો અટવાયા હતા. ત્યારે હરસિધ્ધિ માતાજીને વાણિયાને વહાણ બહાર કાઢવામાં મદદ કરી હતી ત્યારથી માતા હરસિદ્ધિ અહી વહાણવટી સિકોતર તરીકે પૂજાય છે.
તાંબાના થાંભલા ઉપર દીવો કરાતો જેથી વહાણો રાત્રીના સમયે ભૂલા ના પડે. એટલે, કદાચ તાંબા – વટી – નગરી છેલ્લે ત્રંબાવટી નગરી તરીકે વિખ્યાત થઈ હશે એવું મારુ માનવું છે. જે હાલ ખંભાત તરીકે ઓળખાય છે એક સમયે ખંભાત દરિયાઈ વેપાર માટેનું વડુ મથક હતું. જે વેપારીઓથી ધમધમતું હતું.
