ગાંધીનગર જિલ્લાના ડભોડા ગામમાં 1000 વર્ષ જૂનું હનુમાન દાદા ની સ્વયંભૂ પ્રગટ થયેલી મૂર્તિવાળું અતિ પ્રાચીન મંદિર આવેલું છે. મુઘલોના શાશન દરમ્યાન પાટણ ઉપર અલાઉદ્દીન ખિલજી એ ચઢાઈ કરતાં પાટણના રાજાએ ડભોડાના ગાઢ જંગલમાં આશ્રય લીધો હતો. રાજની ગાયો અને પશુધન ચરાવવા માટે ભરવાડો દેવગઢના જંગલમાં આવતા હતા. તેમાંથી એક ટીલડી ગાય ગાયોના ટોળાંમાંથી છૂટી પડીને એક નિશ્ચિત જગ્યાએ ઊભી રહી નમન કરતી અને સાંજ પડે ગાયોના ટોળામાં પાછી આવી જતી હતી. આ બાબતે ભરવાડોએ તપાસ કરી અને રાજાને આ સમગ્ર ઘટનાની જાણ કરી. રાજાએ જાત તપાસ કરી અને કઇક ચમત્કાર લાગતાં રાજપુરોહિતની સલાહ મુજબ ત્યાં ખોદકામ કરાવ્યું અને ત્યાં હનુમાનદાદાની મૂર્તિ મળી આવતા ત્યાં મોટો યજ્ઞ રાખવામાં આવ્યો હતો. અને ત્યાં મૂર્તિની સ્થાપના કરવામાં આવી. તે જગ્યા ડભોડિયા હનુમાનજી મંદિર તરીકે સ્થાપના થઈ. ધીમે ધીમે ત્યાં માનવ વસવાટ થયો ત્યારે ત્યાં જે ગામ બન્યું તે આજે ડભોડા ગામ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે.
